Pricing
Why is there such a range in therapists fees?
Therapist fees range from free / low cost sessions, right up to £150-£200+ per session. Fees range depending on experience, qualifications and location.
Private therapists dictate their own fees based on their needs, qualifications, ability, skill set, demand, and more.
Many therapists will use a combination of experience, qualifications and ability to work with x number of clients - how many clients a therapist can work with each week will hugely vary depending on the type of work they undertake and the requirements of each client.
Why do I charge what I do?
Questions?
Specialism - I am in the process of becoming a specialist counsellor - undertaking a second diploma which will qualify me as a Psychosexual Counsellor.
Prioritising you - By charging more I can work less which will ensure that I have the energy and focus to concentrate on you.
Running costs - To ensure my practice and skills run as best as possible, I ensure that I have memberships, qualifications, supervision, personal therapy, insurance and continual ongoing training.
Practice what I preach - I talk to my clients every day about the importance of prioritising yourself and knowing your worth. I am modelling this behaviour by charging a session fee which enables me to work within my own boundaries, and ensure I have adequate time for self care and time off to enable me to be the best therapist for you that I can be.
